Like Mom, Like Son

I used to suck my thumb. Yes, it's true. Luckily, Jacob has so far only randomly managed to find his thumb in his mouth, but today I watched him take it out, play, and then put it back in. Let's hope, though it is incredibly cute, that this doesn't become a problem.

It has been a couple of weeks since our last post, and now that we are back from Mississauga and things are looking to settle down before Thanksgiving, we will hopefully be able to get back in to our posting:)

Hello Family, Goodbye Summer

This weekend we packed the car full of baby gear (plus one each for Paul and me) and made the long drive to Sudbury to meet Memere! It was a wonderful weekend spent with lots of family, and, suprisingly, lots of sun! It touched our hearts to see how much love there is for Jacob, and all of the loving he was receiving made for a very good baby all weekend long. Here are some of the highlights :

Day Tripper

Yesterday Jacob and I visited the War Museum in Ottawa. Though he slept for most of the visit, it was nice to get out and walk with him. He perked up when we went outside to see the river, and later when we visited Daddy at work.

This morning, when I heard Jacob stirring, I groggily looked over at the clock and was shocked to see 5:40am. Jacob had slept almost 10 hours! I am looking forward to the nights to come to see if he continues with his sleeping progress:)
