A Ho Ho Holiday Update

Busy busy bees we are this week.

Christmas has come and gone, and while the wrapping paper may be all cleaned up, the house is still alive with the Christmas spirit and lots of activity.
Jacob had a wonderful first Christmas, and was spoiled with lots of love and a good amount of toys:) He had so much fun hanging out with his family that we are just now getting him back on his sleeping schedule, only to disrupt it again tomorrow when we head out to Montreal to visit more friends and family for New Year. Here are a few pictures of Jacob chilling out on Christmas.

In other Jacob news, he has just this week begun to sit up unassisted without falling (too often). Jacob loves his floor time now because he can see more of what is going on. The downside to this is, he now never wants to lay down! He is always trying to sit up, and has been giving us a hard time come bed time because he's too excited and just wants to play. He really enjoys his bath time too (even more so) because he can now sit up and splash water everywhere. It has been such a great week watching him laugh and grow. Everyday we grow more proud of our little guy and fall a little more deeply in love.

Tis the Season to be Busy!

I apologize for the lack of updates recently. Not only is this time of year a little heavier on the calendar (like watching the olympic torch visit our wee town), but Jacob is learning new things everyday, and he takes up much more of my attention and time-not that I'm complaining:) Recently he's mastered the art of flipping himself over onto his stomach, and he has just this past week started to flip himself back. He is also able to sit up unassisted for up to a minute! Solid foods are going very well, except for the advice that the nurse gave me to start him on meat. Tried a little chicken: BARF! Tried a little turkey: BARF! I think we'll stick to the cereal and veggies for now. Awww, my little guy is growing up so fast! Next thing I know he will be crawling, walking, talking, talking back, graduating... but I get ahead of myself.
Here are some recent pictures, not to mention the piece de resistance: Jacob's first encounter with Santa. Enjoy! Happy Holidays:)

Let the Countdown Begin!

Only 23 days until Christmas! ;-)

We are getting very excited for the holiday season and have been busy putting up decorations and making cookies. Jacob loves to spend a few minutes each day staring at the Christmas tree, and the other day he even saw his first snowfall! Looking forward to a wonderful family filled Christmas:)
