Jolly Jumper

Things are pretty jolly around here lately. Jacob finally says Mum! I got him going yesterday during lunch, and as the day went on he became more assured of himself and would say it indiscriminately. When I was putting him to bed last night, he fell asleep drinking his bottle. When I took it out of his mouth to put in his pacifier, he smacked his lips and softly said Mmmum. I know he doesn't understand the meaning, and just like the "baba" phase, he will probably stop saying it completely in a few days. But still, so cute! It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside:)

Weekly Update

This week Jacob went to his first Birthday party for his friend Bobby! Being one, Bobby was causing all sorts of mischief with a slotted spoon. Luckily Jacob is very forgiving:)
Jacob also spent some fun time with Daddy hanging out on the weekend, and fully enjoyed an arrowroot cookie. Yum!
Jacob is actively working on his crawling skills. He is on the verge of getting up on his knees. Paul thinks he will be crawling by this weekend, but I think it will be a few more weeks until he develops his muscles a little bit more. Even more exciting though, he has on a few occasions spat out some "ma" and "mum" sounds. It looks like a string of "mama's" will come along any time now:) Yay!

So far this week...

It's only Wednesday, but we've been busy this week! Jacob playing with his new friend as I imagine what it would be like to have twins. Hmmm...
