Daycare Christmas Party!

On Thursday night we attended Jacob's Christmas party for his daycare.  it was a night filled with lots of yumm and fun!  Jacob especially enjoyed running around with his friends and reading his book that Santa brought just for him:-)

Jacob No Pants

Ahhh to return to the days when pants were optional, and you could enjoy the freedom of running around the house in your diaper.  Does this kid ever wear pants?

Trick or Treat! (Treats Preferred)

Has it already been a year since we last dressed up the little guy?
We had a blast carving our pumpkin this year.  Jacob helped clean out the seeds (one by one) and chose the shapes for the Jack-o-Lantern's face.  We roasted the seeds and decorated outside together.

This year was looking iffy for costumes.  Jacob screamed and cried at the sight of a Spiderman (What? He loves Spiderman!), a cute furry skunk, a cowboy, and an Indiana Jones costume.  I was thinking that it was really going to be a trial to get him dressed up in anything until my neighbour let us use this adorable panda outfit.   Jacob loved it, and it had a wonderful time collecting his goodies around the neighbourhood.

Apple Picking!

It is my personal tradition to try and pick apples every year.  I love love love apple orchards and the fresh tart and juicy taste of a mac apple right off the tree.  How wonderful it is to share this yearly experience with my son:)  This year we enjoyed a gloriously sunny morning in Dundela, Ontario, birthplace of the macintosh apple.

So Long Sweet Summer

The warm sun and air of summer lingered all throughout September, but as the leaves change colours and scent the air with the sweet smell of dampness and decay, we can no longer deny that summer is gone.  To which I say, bring on the Fall Festivities!   Jacob had a wonderful summer filled with adventure and fun.  I'll catch up on a few events over the next week (like Jacob's first camping trip!), but first, here are a few shots from our final trip in August to visit family in Sudbury.

It seems that July flew by in a blur.  We kept ourselves busy through more perfect hot summer days than I could ask for, and as a result Jacob has become a little fish in the water, just like mommy likes it:)

Today Jacob played with his friends Joey and Isabelle at the local splash park.  Lots of running, laughing,  and squealing before we packed it in for a nap.

Summer Vacation kickoff!

We're Baaack!
Finally summer vacation has arrived, which means so has my free time!  I promise to keep Jacob's fans fully informed over the summer.  Here are a few for catch up:)

Under the Weather

This week Jacob caught a little bug, and spent a few days at home.  He got a kick out of watching Elmo's Potty Time as he sat on his potty.  With Elmo.  Of course. :)
Poor little guy.  He liked watching me show him what the puke bucket was for.  Of course,  it would be pretty funny to watch a grown-up gag and make puke-y faces when you have no idea what throwing up even means!  Silly mommy.
